Agata Coppola Tartaglia

Agata Coppola Tartaglia was born in Lecce, in the region of Puglia in Italy. She moved to Sant’ Elia a Piansi when she got married to her husband, and has lived there ever since! During early Fascism she actually lived in Switzerland with her parents, but before World War II started she and her mother and sister were sent to live on the family farm with extended family in Puglia. This is where she lived and survived World War II. Today she is 93 years old, and this is her story.
